Matthias and I are actively working on this stack in Debian. I've had to wait
until several packages clear Debian NEW, including one NMU. I've also had to
update several other packages, and provide an update to the ensurepip patch to
Matthias. All of this will hopefully land within the next week is my best
estimate.
Once we have it working in Debian and Utopic, we'll SRU it into 14.04.
