Thanks for your report.  I believe this is another manifestation of bug
1273487, and so ought to be fixed by the next launchpad-buildd rollout,

Bug description:
  I have just created a source package recipe for this u-boot branch and
  it fails to build.

  I am not sure if it is a baazar, python or u-boot problem but I got
  this message from logs:

     bzr: ERROR: exceptions.UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't
  decode byte 0xe6 in position 12: ordinal not in range(128)
