Title:
  failed dist-upgrade 13.10 -> 14.04: several dependency problems

Status in “ubuntu-release-upgrader” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  The upgrade process alerted me of many "dependency problems - leaving
  unconfigured" from dpkg, as can be seen in main.log, and suggested
  filing a bug report. Affected packages include udev, dbus, gconf2,
  initramfs2, mountall and upstart among others. The process ended with
  an error message, informing me that the system might be unstable. I
  haven't rebooted yet, so I don't know if my system is broken.
