Title:
installer crashed 32 bit 13.10 on direct download link is damaged

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I do not know whom to report it, but 32 bit 13.10 on direct download link is damaged. I found it hard way. Friend from work asked me to bring "disk" and install Linux for his father in law as I did for him some time ago. I downloaded fresh image, made USB, test it (without install). Once at work colleague told me that his father in law do not like Window$ 8 on his new Asus laptop and that I can delete it. I booted of USB test it and everything worked fine. I proceed to install ,deleted Window$ and while installer copied around 90% files it stopped complaining that can not read files. I am attempted to update it (by tethering trough my mobile) still no go. I downloaded another copy of image (trough my mobile as at work we are not allowed to use internet for downloads), made another USB and still same problem. I felt very bad and embarrass. Colleague told everyone how Linux is cool and I am there not able to install it ! In the end I am used old 12.04 CD that I gave to him time ago to make image and then "USB " (laptop does not have CD drive). After that we updated system and install apps and 3 GB later on my phone I was able to at least save part of my dignity.
I do not which mirror I am used to download image at home, but at mobile it was exetel.com.au
Can you please inform someone about situation and save someone else of hard time that I had.
