Bug description:
  Tested with several different computer and CDs.

  - On a IA32 (P4) machine with a CD/DVD drive ASUS DVD-E616P3, firmware
  < 1.07 the GUI installer hang at 52% and no more process can be
  launched from the command line. Update the hardware to 1.07 solved the
  issue.

  - On the same machines with a CD/DVD drive ASUS DVD-E616A with update
  firmware the live cd takes about 15 mn to boot up with a lot of I/O
  errors. Eventually gdm and X start, then the installation process
  works (even if quite slowly).
