ext4 is a variant of ext2. You need to install grub to an individual
disk or disks, not the raid array.

Bug description:
I have raid md1,md2 arrays.
MD1 is for boot and MD2 is for root.
MD1 and MD2 both using ext4.
I'm trying to upgrade grub,
error occuring while using this following commands:
apt-get upgrade or
grub-upgrade , grub-install /dev/md1
~grub-install /dev/md1
~Installing for i386-pc platform.
~grub-install: warning: File system `ext2' doesn't support embedding.
~grub-install: warning: Embedding is not possible. GRUB can only be installed in ~this setup by using blocklists. However, blocklists are UNRELIABLE and their u se is discouraged..
~grub-install: error: will not proceed with blocklists.
Grub not installing, I don't have any ext2 filesystem.
