Thanks Chris for your response, i tried this again today and had this
also as result.

I don't know, but this must have been changed between Beta1 and the release.
Now the actual version is LibreOffice 4.2.4 and not 4.2.1 as described above.

However, Java / OpenJDK 7 is outdated now and i hope, there are the next
five(!) years of support if security fixes are released.

Title:
installing LO 4.2.1 installs also outdated openjdk-6-jre

Status in “java-common” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Today i installed a new machine with Trusty beta1.

Afterwards i installed LibreOffice meta package via Synaptics and had to install also OpenJDK-6-JRE as an dependency.
This happens always if in Synaptic the recommended packages is ON (which is standard, i think).

So please change the dependency from OpenJDK-6-JRE at least to
OpenJDK-7-JRE cause it is now standard.

  .

  Xubuntu 14.04
  LibreOffice 4.2.1
