For convenience I built an autopkgtest deb with that feature:

   http://people.canonical.com/~pitti/tmp/autopkgtest_3.1pitti1_all.deb

it'll still be some days until that lands in utopic through the
autosyncs. Unless there is any urgency, then I can upload it directly.

  Test already installed click package

Status in “autopkgtest” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  Support a --click=com.example.foo action which represents an already
  installed "com.example.foo" click package instead of having to specify
  a locally built one on the command line. This would currently fail if
  it's not already installed. Later, if we figure out how to do that, it
  could download it from the store.

  Note that we can't use "com.example.foo" as a bare argument as in
  theory that's also a valid deb source package name.
