Title:
  sudo is slow in jaunty

Status in “sudo” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I have thinkpad t61 which i've upgraded from 8.10 to jaunty.

I have enabled my finger reader in the past and it worked great in
  8.10

after the upgrade these things happened:
  1. it takes 6 seconds from the time i write 'sudo cmd' until i get a prompt for the password.
  2. i need to swipe my finger 3 times before it accepts it.
  3. if i make a mistake in the password, several seconds pass till the 'sorry' message and several more till i get the prompt for password again.
