Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  During otherwise flawless Kubuntu 8.04 install from CD (from
  downloaded ISO), at 79% install progress, onscreen message said "<1
  min left" (or words to that effect). It required another *21 minutes*
  to reach 100%.

  Installation was on an older 500 mhz Celeron, Toshiba V3100 desktop
  system, 128 mb ram, 6.4 gb hard drive.
