  debchange is working on "debian" folder while dpkg-deb is using

Status in “alien” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

  Using the dpkg-deb tools to create packages the control files have to
  be put into the "DEBIAN" folder (big case letters). Unfort. the
  debchange tool searches for a "debian" folder with small letters.
