  installer crashed during the night - I was not present

Bug description:
  I have no idea what caused the problem.  I am trying to install Ubuntu
  12.04 LTS onto a Dell Dimension 4600 with 2 GB RAM and 80 GB Western
  Digital HD.  I left it running last night and found the error on the
  screen this morning.
