Public bug reported:
Hi,
After latest update of the following components from 2014-02-14 :
libglib-2.0-0 and libc-bin my X.org always crashes when resuming from a
suspend, causing a hard reboot. The strange thing is that the next
reboot causes the same thing, and afterwards everything is OK again.
Note that the HDD light seems to be always on. I've checked my HDD
against smartmontools with long self tests and all is OK on this side.
The same apply for my graphic card with some tests.
My system :
Kubuntu 13.10 AMD64
AMD Phenom x4 9850
Mobo Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe with NForce 570 SLI chipset (*)
8 GB RAM
NVidia GeForce 660 Ti with 2 GB of RAM and NVidia 319 binary driver.
(*) -> for the suspend/restore, I use the workaround detailed within bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1181878 . However
my computer starts a normal resume after a suspend, and freezes when the
Xorg server appears.
