Public bug reported:

New in the release, php-json was separated from php-common.

There are many questions from people, stackoverflow, etc. on where is
php-json.

This all would be resolved if php-json were a dependency of php-common.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
