Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

According to https://launchpadlibrarian.net/164591407/UbiquitySyslog.txt
you've an inconsistent ntfs partition, that's probably the reason why
the installation didn''t continued and the whole process failed.

Run chkdsk /f on Windows then reboot it twice and retry the installer,
I'll mark in the meantime the bug as invalid.

  All I can add is that grub was already installed and this attempt
  failed.  There are several partitions defined, 2ntfs, 1ext3, 2ext4
  (one primary and one extended}
