Title:
External hard drive install won't boot

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

I just tried to install UNE 10.10 (Sep 29th live CD) to an external
USB hard drive. It was an OEM install. The install finished
successfully, then I tried to reboot into the drive. But grub never
came up. It just sat at a blinking cursor. Seems like it didn't
  install grub into the drive?

I'm attaching the contents of /var/log/installer from the drive.
