Title:
Can’t connect to Internet when installing

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
When I installed Ubuntu 14.04 I could not establish an Internet
connection for the installation, even though the Internet was
available. I tried WiFi, as well as hard wire. The Internet actually
showed connected on the bar on top of the screen, but when I get to
the point where the installation process has to connect to the
Internet, it just doesn’t recognise it. I am using a Vodacom mobile
connection, which can be used as either WiFi or hard wire.
