  screen stays blank after resume from suspend

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  After pressing fn+f4, my laptop is suspended to memory.  When I press
  enter to wake it up, the screen stays off.  If I hit ctrl-alt-f1 I get
  a console, at which point I can hit alt-f7 to show X again.

  My machine is an acer travelmate 4650 with intel 915 chipset /
  display.
