[Bug 781454] Re: git-gui missing .desktop file

FYI—I just realized from the above mentioned file that one can simply
run "git gui" instead of having to remember the full path /usr/lib/git-
core/git-gui as I had been doing. This eliminates the need for a GUI
shortcut for me, but it would probably still be helpful to others.

Title:
  git-gui missing .desktop file

Status in git package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in git package in Debian:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: git

I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 dev and git 1:1.7.5.1-1 and there is no start
menu entry. I must start it with the console but it would be better
with an entry in the start menu.
