[Bug 1363358] [NEW] upgrading from ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04 , got a msg saying failure to install ubuntu desktop

as in summary + after I skipped the problem and continued the upgrade,
the desktop didn't change, an error msg appear, I tried to reinstall the
desktop package from the package manager, but I got another msg saying;
E: Internal Error, No file name for ubuntu-desktop:amd64
