*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1313165 ***
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313165

Hello,
I feel this is not eactly a duplicate because 1313165 mentions things like "Natty", "Saucy", "remove package xx...", which are unfamiliar to me.
I prefer nice, smooth, "click upgrade" from LTS to LTS like in the past, without any command inputs from a terminal prompt.

However, I'm willing to give it a try but please give me the EXACT commands to type in order to:
1/ remove update-manager-kde (with guarantee I won't break eveything ;-)
2/ provoke the upgrade to the new LTS from the terminal as well, as I expect 1/ to break to nice pop-up "please upgrade"

Thanks in advance

Title:
Kubuntu upgrade LTS to LTS fails

Status in “ubuntu-release-upgrader” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:

Tryting to upgrade to new LTS

Get error "... cannot calcualte upgrade..." and the upgarde stops.

  In /var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log :

  2014-08-22 03:42:25,357 ERROR Dist-upgrade failed: 'The package
'update-manager-kde' is marked for removal but it is in the removal
  blacklist.'

Too scared to manually remove a package that is named "update-manager-
  kde"!
