Who is the one who actually decides about inclusion of traceroute for
ipv4 ?

This little nuissance of lacking traceroute in the live system is still
in 14.04 :-(

Has this report just not yet reached its recipient, or are there actually different 
opinions about the matter?

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Fresh install of dapper 6.06.
  traceroute6 is installed by default.
  traceroute is not installed.

  Not sure which packages this applies to (iputils? installer?).
