  crash when restoring previously installed packages

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  on an install of Kubuntu Trusty Alpha 2 candidate I installed it
  without formatting / so the previous packages would be restored.
  However when it tried to restore the previously installed packages it
  crashed.
