Thanks a lot, downgrading of the mentionned packages made the upgrade of
the system possible.

Title:
Ubuntu upgrade from 13.10 to 14.04 fails - unable to calculate upgrade

Status in “ubuntu-release-upgrader” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
while running dist upgrade, it stops at step two with a error message

"An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.
  This can be caused by:
   * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
   * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
   * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu"

I've tried updating all the currently installed software, disabling
all the extra PPAs, but I am still getting this error.
