The url provided in the description is incomplete.
At the moment ubiquity installer only supports encryption and lvm upon
wipe clean & install on to the whole drive.
If you want to activate existing encrypted volumes and/or use multiple
partitions (e.g. dual-boot etc) please use mini.iso from
http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/netboot/trusty/ or use ubuntu server image.
At task-select stage, simply select "ubuntu-desktop" to install standard
ubuntu desktop environment.

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I am trying to perform whole disk encryption on a drive wiclean-
ubiquity-ubuntuth multiple partitions using Ubiquity installer on
Ubuntu-14.04. Right now I am experimenting with enctypting a
VirtualBox VM to try it out.
I followed the instructions provided by
http://www.linuxbsdos.com/2014/01/16...linux-mint-16/, and was able to
create the crypto partitions as described. However, when I finished
and pushed the "Install Now" button, I get an error dialog box coverd
with multiple "?" and clicking on it causing the installer to go back
to the disk setup screen. Other attempts resulted in an error box that
stating that the Installer crashed.
The syslog and partman logs are attached in a combined file
