Title:
Upgrade 13.10 to 14.04 Upgrade Failed SystemError
Status in “ubuntu-release-upgrader” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Whilst upgrading problems were reported with libpyzy-1.0-0_1.0.1-4.amd deb.
The upgrade continued with a warning
Later the the upgrade aborted :
Original exception was SystemError subprocess /usr/bin/dpkg return code(1)
Not sure what the state of system is.
It boots successfully but still has Salamander background so I assume
some configuration has not completed.
Synaptic showed libpyzy-1.0-0 package broken
I tried re-applying but this failed (unexpected end of file during copy)
I manually downloaded libpyzy-1.0-0_1.0.1-4.amd deb and replaced the presumably corrupt version in
/var/cache/apt/archives
Synaptic was now able to apply the broken package
Is there a way to find out how complete the upgrade is and complete
the upgrade process?
