testing was done by Kevin DuBois:
"""
armhf tests had problems, however they seem to be the same problems that we
had with our tests under the valgrind image in archive. From what I know of
our CI (someone correct me if I'm wrong), but we don't run the armhf under
valgrind, so we should be safe there."""
"""
Correction,
On armhf, it appears valgrind is ran on mir CI on the mir_unit_tests only:
https://jenkins.qa.ubuntu.com/job/mir-mediumtests-builder-trusty-armhf/1134/consoleFull
Testing mir_unit_tests on armhf with that valgrind package passed as well,
so still no problems with the package."""

Title:
valgrind 3.10/trunk update to support AArch64
Status in “valgrind” package in Ubuntu:
New
Status in “valgrind” source package in Trusty:
New
Bug description:
The ubuntu-toolchain-r/test PPA has a valgrind build from the trunk,
which includes support for AArch64, and it is expected to have ppc64el
support integrated upstream. Proposing to update the valgrind for
trusty (before or post release) to this version. This needs additional
testing by the mir and phone developers, as it is used as a build
dependency for a lot of packages.
