Title:
[Feature Request] Allow Boot Modifications with Driver Updates

Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: casper

This is a feature request for the ability to change the boot process,
by reading the driver update disk to install .deb packages in the middle
of casper's boot sequence. The ideal timing of the .deb package installations
would be prior to the execution of casper-bottom scripts - however, the earlier,
  the better.

An example .deb package would be one which included new casper-bottom
scripts to execute, between those which already exist.

The purpose of this feature would be the ability to correct any potential errors
which may occur in the boot procedure, which may need to run before 40install_driver_updates.

The ability to execute after 40install_driver_updates, however, may be done using
ordinary driver update .debs having postinst scripts.
