Title:
wget crashes on some urls
Status in “wget” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I tried to use wget for downloading some stuff from file storage in
our local network, but it crashed.
After some time I tried to repeat the whole situation, recreate all headers and wrote an analogous script accessible from the Internet (I wrote almost the same HTTP headers for response as the original problematic server does, so anyone can repeat this problem).
The combination of 302's and 404's seems to be a part of the problem.
Interesting fact is that the problem repeats if only I use current locale as ru_RU.UTF-8 (I set LANG=en_EN.UTF-8 and it disappears, then I set it back to LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 and crash appears again).
Sorry, for this reason I can't provide the log in English.
You may try it with this command: wget
http://t.xapienz.ru/sites/download.pl
Log of crash: http://pastebin.com/7Ny0cWxC
versions:
wget-1.14-1ubuntu1
libc6-2.17-0ubuntu2
P.S. Maybe it is bug of libc6, not wget. Please check if I'm wrong.
