Title:
Acpi does not recognize a power cable unplug leading to weird battery
and power saving issues
Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
On my Acer Aspire S7-391 with Intel Ivy Bridge when going from AC to
Battery acpi does not recognize the unplug, instead it sees the cable
being plugged again:
me at me-Aspire-S7-391:~$ acpi_listen
ac_adapter ACAD 00000080 00000001
battery BAT0 00000080 00000001
processor CPU0 00000081 00000000
processor CPU1 00000081 00000000
processor CPU2 00000081 00000000
processor CPU3 00000081 00000000
when I plug the cable back in for real it sees
lele at lele-Aspire-S7-391:~$ acpi_listen
ac_adapter ACAD 00000080 00000000
battery BAT0 00000080 00000001
processor CPU0 00000081 00000000
processor CPU1 00000081 00000000
processor CPU2 00000081 00000000
processor CPU3 00000081 00000000
as if the cable was beign unplugged.
At the same time pm-powersave will not run when unplugging but will
run twice, first TRUE and then FALSE, when re-plugging.
