Public bug reported:

I've been having this issue with 12.04 and it breaks a lot of multilib
support, a quick search of the Ubuntu forums shows this issues has
cropped up on a number of machines in the past weeks:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libc6-dev-amd64:i386 : Depends: libc6-amd64:i386 (= 2.15-0ubuntu10.4) but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: gcc-multilib:i386 but it is not going to be installed

** Affects: eglibc (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
