[Bug 1225465] [NEW] startup disk creator closed unexpectedly

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Ubuntu's startup disk creator turned very unreliable since Ubuntu 12.04.
Problems  I encounter are persistent..

* "Installing the bootloader.." dialog runs for eternity.. only to close
after 15 minute to show an 'Application closed unexpectedly' error
