Public bug reported:
On a default Thinkpad X61S, I tried to install Xubuntu 13.10 beta 1. At
the step where we are prompted to select the wireless connection, I
choose mine ( a WEP-2 secured connection ), and I hit connect.
A second later, I get a crash report window, asking me to report a
crash. ( ironical, since I'm not connected ), and immediately after I
get a Unrecoverable error telling me the live version will be started to
help me investigate.
Live version connect without problem (once you find how to add a
wireless connection, which far from intuitive BTW)
Also note that I did the exact same installation process using the
Xubuntu 13.4 CD without any problem; the wireless connection gets
connected, so I can hit back, check the Download update box, and carry
on. 13.4 installed OK.
I'd be happy to use my live key to help with debugging, but I'll need exact command as I'm not a linux technical guru. :)
Good job, Xubuntu is ... relieving compared to Ubuntu :)
