Public bug reported:
When I selected the btrfs filesystem for formatting my root partition
and clicked next, a message box popped up saying "Error formatting
Partition ##" and the whole installtion process as well as the system
froze. Eventually it required a cold reset.
During the second run I chose ext4 for root and there were no problems.
The partition I was trying to format to btrfs was sda3, a primary
partition on a 40Gb PATA Seagate drive, for what it's worth. Size was
~12 Gb. A swap partition was already available from previous install and
I was not doing any other step. The partition too had been previously
created, so that leaves only the formatting step where the error could
have occured.
