Hope I'm not muddying the waters, but I see the same warning happening
in other programs as well (eg quodlibet). Perhaps this should be
resolved generically in gnome and not in vim ? Just my 2 cents

This is what I get on quodlibet startup in 13.10:
/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/quodlibet/qltk/session.py:18: Warning: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::sm-connect after class was initialised
  gnome.init(app_id, const.VERSION)
/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/quodlibet/qltk/session.py:18: Warning: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::show-crash-dialog after class was initialised
  gnome.init(app_id, const.VERSION)
/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/quodlibet/qltk/session.py:18: Warning: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::display after class was initialised
  gnome.init(app_id, const.VERSION)
/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/quodlibet/qltk/session.py:18: Warning: Attempt to add property GnomeProgram::default-icon after class was initialised
  gnome.init(app_id, const.VERSION)

Title:
Gvim Glib-GObject Warning when starting gvim in ubuntu 13.10

Status in “vim” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Distribution: Ubuntu 13.10
  Package: gvim

I posted this as a Question on askubuntu.com

  http://askubuntu.com/questions/361180/gvim-glib-gobject-warning-in-
  ubuntu-13-10

my research says it's a ignorable warning but it's annoying to see
warnings if they aren't serious how to get rid of those warnings
