Disregard the SmartGit suggestion, I took a few minutes and read through
the Java report. It seems pretty clear that the root cause beneath this
issue and the one discussed in bug #1241101 are one and the same.

Bug description:
  When I start any Eclipse-based app (from Eclipse 3.x branch) I got a

  With Eclipse IDE the IDE starts but crashes randomly thereafter. With
  RCP apps the same happens.

  I've attached a crash log, which may not be the exact one reported in
  this bug, but which contains the same info.
