The branch attached to this bug was merged and uploaded but I guess the
debian/changelog never ended up mentioning this bug. I'm closing it Fix
Released.

** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu)
       Status: Triaged => Fix Released

Title:
Updates remain (unchecked) after changing software sources

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Open Software Updater when there are updates available. (It helps to
enable the -proposed source for updates).

Click the Settings button, and disable a source that some of the
  updates are coming from,

Back in the Software Updater dialog, the updates that were coming from
that source are still listed, but deselected. They still seem
interactive, but clicking a checkbox does not cause an update to be
selected. Clicking a checkbox for a group of updates leads to a crash.

In the latest Software Updater in raring, we have more of those groups
of updates (with the same segfault), and the application crashes
immediately because of a similar error in
restart_icon_renderer_data_func. It seems the best action here is to
detect when updates are no longer available, and stop listing them.
