[Bug 1243168] [NEW] Installation crashed after clicking "Continue testing"

Public bug reported:

This is from the Xubuntu 13.10 Live CD.

The following preconditions exist, if relevant:
- I chose to boot into a test environment so I could do stuff while installing.
- I had Xubuntu 13.10 installed before this, and chose to reinstall after something got messed up. That version was upgraded several times in the past (12.10>13.04>13.10 I believe).
- My old /home was on a separate partition.
- Firefox was open in the Live environment.
- Installing a 32-bit version on a 64-bit system (just a personal choice to avoid a mixed library mess)

In any case, what happened is that XUbuntu 13.10 installed over the old
one successfully, and I got the "Installation complete, restart?"
message. I clicked on "Continue testing" and at that exact moment the
system came and told me the installer crashed.

Strange, that.
