** Description changed:
- Running Xubuntu 13.10 Beta (Saucy) booting with Grub2 on my first HD.
+ Running Xubuntu 13.10 Beta (Saucy) booting with Grub2 on my first boot
+ disc. (sdb)
- I have also installed Linux Mint (Olivia/Raring) on another disk, and
- have been runnig update-grub on Xubuntu. It only finds the Xubuntu dist.
- But I expect Grub to find all distros and list them as boot
+ I have also installed Linux Mint (Olivia/Raring) on another disk (sdc),
+ and have been running update-grub on Xubuntu. It only finds the Xubuntu
+ dist. But I expect Grub to find all distros and list them as boot
allternatives. Thats one of the main points with Grub.
I can't find any related logfile or settings. If there is, they must be more clearly pointed out. I have checked at this places:
/etc/default/grub
/etc/grub.d/
/var/log/*
/boot/*
Don't hesitate to ask if I have missed something.
The motherboard is a ASUS "M5A99FX PRO R2.0" with UEFI, if it matter.
A workaround is hardware dependent. Pres F8 during initial boot and the
UEFI-bootmenu shows up. From there I can boot anything.
