Public bug reported:

On a win 7 home premium Asus N56vm laptop - used partition wizard mini
tool to make an ext4 partition and some space after the standard uefi
windows partitions.

put a \ mount point in ext4 partition made an ext2 home partition made a swap of 10 GB
using a usb2 16 GB sandisk pendrive with a bootable 13.04 ubuntu live.
persistance enabled with boot repair downloaded and installed to it.

installer seemed to do it all and then showed a message that it could
not place the boot

Uefi machines are some years old now and win 7 isn't exactly new. There
is no secure boot issue as in win 8 so why the installer troubles? What
a shambles!
