Title:
umount a cdfs device crash: sigsegv

Status in “util-linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: mount

  Date: Wed Jun 3 23:09:07 CEST 2009
Distrib: Ubuntu Jaunty up to date.
  FSTYPE: ext4.
Hardware: i686 DELL laptop INSPIRON 9400

I was looking forward to mount an audio cd from a shell (because it's
so coool to do every single thing in CLI :]) and found the package
cdfs-src. Then I've installed and loaded it successfully.

When I finished my job I've tried to umount the mounted device and it
  ended up with a sigsegv.

I hope you will be able to simply reproduce this bug:

  root at laptop # apt-get install cdfs-src
  [...]
  root at laptop # m-a a-i cdfs

Since I've just found out about this bug I'm not yet able to tell if
that's serious or not. It may depends of the audio cd inserted, if it
does, there may be some kind of vulnerability (No that is not a
  specially crafted mad cdrom).

However, regardless of the security issues, I cannot open my cdrom-
drive, it doesn't respond to any of my tries: manually, eject command
and GUI ejection with Nautilus (Infinite loop when selecting the
  device).

So if it's not because of the CD, that is a bad news: I will have to
reboot each time I umount a cdrom with umount. And if it is because of
the cd, it may be interesting to dig further in there.

  Regards.

  shiro.
