Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Title:
Device driver will not start
Status in “udev” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
the device driver does not start automatically when a USB device while the system is running can be inserted.
this problem I had with a canoscan lide 25 scanner and also with a surf stick from Huawei. I command after the:
sudo udevadm trigger
typed everything worked. and I must say that the installation of the huawei stick represented a little more difficult.
I was in the directory lib / udve / rules.d
was detected following file does not use it to create the stick as cd rom but as a modem: 70-usb_modeswitch.rules
I think that this is a bug in udev.
I use 64 bit ubuntu 13:10
