Title:
  dbus-daemon memory leak

Status in “dbus” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “dbus” source package in Hardy:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: dbus

I have a plasmoid that polls Amarok 2 for information through dbus.
After several hours, I find that dbus-daemon is using several hundred
megabytes of RAM. At last check it was using 800 MB. The only solution
is to log out and log back in. These are the calls that I'm making to
  dbus:

  qdbus org.kde.amarok /Player GetMetadata
  qdbus org.kde.amarok /Player PositionGet
  dbus-send --dest='org.kde.amarok' --print-reply /Player org.freedesktop.MediaPlayer.GetStatus

  dbus:
    Installed: 1.2.4-0ubuntu1
    Candidate: 1.2.4-0ubuntu1
    Version table:
   *** 1.2.4-0ubuntu1 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  Description: Ubuntu 8.10
  Release: 8.10
