Wow this is definitely a weird interesting bug.
It affects suspend-to-mem on my pci-e nv43 too.

I can confirm that rebuilding only libdrm-nouveau2 with the raring
toolchain fixes it.

- Recompiling libdrm with gcc 4.7 fixed the bug.
