[Bug 1249406] [NEW] eclipse crashes several minutes after startup during basic editting

This happened increasingly often, including twice in the last 10
minutes. it seems that the initial bug happens only occasionally (maybe
once every few days) but once it happens it will keep happening until I
reboot (simply restarting the application doesn't fix it)

** Attachment added: "i am attaching the bug report following the first crash. i will submit a second bug report for the second, which happend just a few minutes later after restarting eclipse (but not rebooting the machine)"
