Title:
systemd-shim removal causes restart to logout

Status in “systemd” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “xfce4-session” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Had reports of systemd-shim not being installed following upgrade from
  13.04 to 13.10.

This led to restart of machine looping to login screen.

Removal of systemd-shim causes same issue.

  Something missing in dependencies perhaps.
