Public bug reported:
Hi,
I tried to install ubuntu 13.10 using the livecd from the website and
ran into the following issue. I already had installed on my hard drive
ubuntu 12.04 with custom partitions and a LOT of data. During the
partitioning phase the installer had the option to REPLACE my existing
installation. The problem is that apparently the person who wrote those
messages has failed english classes because replace installation seems
to mean: repartition all your hard drivew without a single message
informing the user.
So basically the ubuntu live install fucked up my whole hdd. Great job
guys....at least MS installs their OS and only screws your boot
loader...ubuntu has managed to take it to a whole new level
** Affects: live-installer (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
