  Startup disk creator has closed unexpectedly (13.10 iso on 12.10)

Bug description:
  Trying to install xubuntu-13.10-beta2-desktop-amd64.iso to usb flash
  drive fails consistently in Xubuntu 12.10 64bit. When finishing
  installation the disk creator suddenly crashes.
