  Oneiric update from kernel 3.0.0-11 to 3.0.0.12 crashes Grub2

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  after Oneiric kernel's update my notebook (Joybook 5100G, Intel Centrino, ATI Radeon 9600) is stucked at black screen with thick white underscore, not responding to any keys or their combinations.
  moreover, even full reinstall of Oneiric (with grub's reinstalling, of course) does not help - after succesfull reinstallation system stucked again before grub's menu.

  root filesystem is on the sda3, booting (via ubuntu.bin) starts
  normally from the sda1 with XP bootloader.
