Public bug reported:

On a live session of Saucy Desktop AMD64 (Build 20130517)  mode of
/home/ubuntu/.local/ is set to 0644 instead of 0755 which causes several
service failing to start (for example zeitgeist or mission-control)

After installation to the target system, the mode of this directory is
correct.
